So who hasn't got a 450?

There has been plenty of talk about a 450 class, what with the Aussies and the Yanks running the class as their premier supermoto classes.

Here in little ol NZ we've just had a 450 (Honda ridden by Paul Brown) win our Supermoto series and we had Shayne King win on a CRF450 a couple of seasons back at the BikeMart Supermoto both against far bigger machines. But the real motivator for the distrubtors is the fact that they all have a 450. Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, KTM, Husqvarna, Husaberg, Gas Gas, TM, VOR and we may not see it on our shores but now Sherco have produced a bike.

The great thing about a 450 is that it can still be used as a MX, enduro or trail machine if that's your main gig.

There doesn't seem to be a shortage of riders who will shell out for a Super moto/motard only machine but if the sport is to grow maybe a class where a huge number of potential riders will fit straight in isn't a bad idea?
