Racing against some of the very best in the
world Darryl Atkins finished 6th in Bercy, Paris on the weekend.
Atkins finished behind 2003 world champion Eddy Seel but beat
a number of the very best with the likes of US champ Jeff
Ward and former multi winner Stefan Chambon. The race was
won by full time world Supermoto campaigner Boris Chambon.
The Guidon d'or has traditionally bought together
the very best of all motorcycle sport with Wayne Rainey,
Eddie Lawson, Jean Michael-Bayle and Stefan Chambon having
won the event in the past.

Bercy Supermoto International event - Paris France
Hi Everyone,
Sorry for the later report for this event,
its been a really busy time
for
me the past weeks. This event has been my best result to
date in
Supermoto
and I am really looking forward to the up and coming season
this year in
the
USA.
This is how it went for me:
Heat Race Vitesse/Tout Terrain class: 2nd
Final: 2nd
Comments:
I was really happy has I had the Champion from
last year Stephane
Chambon
pushing me really hard for some of the final until he went
down on the
last
few laps and allowing me to finish in 2nd. Also I had some
great help
for
Eric and Ben Bostrom whom have been helping me out on the
road sections.
Final Guidon D'or: 6th
Comments:
I was a little disappointed as I was running
2nd behind Boris Chambon
for
half of the final, when they decided to restart the race
due to a crash
in
the tunnel, this caused my bike to get a little hot on the
line and
didn't
get off to the best of starts I wanted and ended up finishing
6th behind
World Champion Eddy Seel.
Results Guidon D'or Final:
1st: Boris Chambon
2nd: Sylvain Bidart
3rd: Jerome Giraudo
4th: Doug Henry
5th: Eddy Seel
6th: Darryl Atkins
7th: Alexandre Thiebault
I really want to Thank KTM Austria for there
support with the bike and
mechanic for this race.
Kind Regards,
Darryl Atkins
