Round two gets set.

.Report: T Sutherland.

Shuffle time?

S1

Waikato's Paul Brown heads to the tight twists and turns of Taumarunui with a healthy 16 point lead over his closest title challenger.

Sadly Irishman Greg Kinsella who is poised at 72 points after DNFing a race at Taupo won't be in contention for the title. He's off back to sunny Ireland after this weekend (it was snowing when he left) to defend his own national throne.

e

Be sure to catch VOR's Greg Kinsella this weekend. His

hacking sideways corner control is really quite special

Not that Brown will have an easy run of things. Brendon Stephenson is the closest title challenger at this stage but there are plenty capable of hauling him back with two thirds of the races to go.

One Aaron Slight has taken the leap. He came out for a 'bit of a play' last week and had such a good time he's asked Energy Honda and Crown Kiwi to put a bike together for him. Energy Honda's Craig Flood is also planning to ride.

Stephen Briggs is another capable of taking wins. He had two non scoring races and will be looking to salvage some pride in the remaining races. Team mate Brendon Coad is another to look out for as are locals Russell Josiah and Ian Atkins.

Motocrosser Blake Gillard was certainly torn. He has got the bug but will be unable to make the meeting this weekend as he has been offered a ride on a new prototype KTM250SXF. It was a close thing but he vows "I'll be back".
