Briggs
to ride some 'other' world rounds.
National Battle of the streets Supermotard
champion Stephen Briggs has decided to try and do a couple
of rounds of the world Supermoto championship a little
later in the year.
Briggs was due to ride in last weekends 'double'
at Namur but was having difficulty securing a machine."The
bike I was to ride must have been in a major crash as the
German team was having to rebuild it, subframe and all".
"With a little over a week to go I couldn't be sure
that it was going to work out. It seemed better to call it
off then and work toward perhaps combining a couple of races
later in the year." Briggs said.
Kiwi Ben Townley managed second overall in
the motocross componet of the big double at Namur. The Supermoto
S1 round was won by Gerald Delapine on a Husqvarna.
