Overseas
visit for a dirty Cemetery.
Report . TS
Robert Cochrane has confirmed the details as
per our earlier report (below) along with the addition of
course information, potential overseas visitors and the possiblitiy
of a 450 class.
Regarding the use of the old dummy grid
area. It is understood that
the
old
dummy
grid
will
be divided
down the centre line with water filled barriers and the
course will have the bikes running down one side, doing a
180 and
coming back toward the circuit proper, down the other side.
This is after having taken in at least 220 metres of dirt.
Aussie Josh McFarlane is said to be riding
with a hot rod Aprilia and discussions are also happening
with ex pat Darryl Atkins.
KiwiRider
under the BikeMart banner is looking to run a 450cc class
combined
in with the
open
class
bikes.
It's a bit of an eleventh hour deal but it's hoped the
450 riders can get recognition for their performances against
the specialist Supermoto racers on big bore machines.
We
have very little detail at the moment but it is understood
that
if
boxing
day is
a rain
free the
Supermotard class, will become a Supermoto class with
the addition of a dirt section.
It is understood that the dirt
section will be run in the railway yards as the supermoto
bikes will turn left into the yard, do a dirt section then
end up in the old dummy grid area before doing a sharp
left out onto the road race circuit where racers used to
enter
the circuit from the old dummy grid area.
We will post details as they come to hand.
Check
out all the top racers who have been doing a bit of
Supermoto.
