WORLD SUPERMOTO CHAMPIIONSHIIPS 2007
Final Round Geece
The world championship was wrapped up in Greece recently with both titles going to Husqvarna.
Frenchman Adrien Chareyre grabbed the S1 title and Belgian, Gerald Delepine took the S2.
Three time champion Thierry van den Bosch kept the pressure on all the way claiming both wins at the final on his Aprilia. The pair of fifths of Chareyne's were enough however for him to take the S1 title for the first time. Brother Thomas grabbed third in the title also aboard a Husqvarna.
Delepine piled on the pressure in the first race with a win and his sixth in race two was enough to grab the title after another Aprilia title contender found himself in the runner up spot, Attilio Pignotti had a disappointing fourth.
Christian Iddon, son of Paul Iddon who road raced in New Zealand in the late eighties, grabbed third in the championship on an Aprilia.
