Possible Full
on SuperMoto race in the Hawkes Bay
Tim "The Man" Gibbs has been in touch with the Hastings
Kart club. They are appear to be agreeable for SuperMoto race
to be held at their track. Note I say SuperMoto, that's right,
this kart track has land that "may" be suitable for
dirt use as well!
Brendon Stephenson and Anthony Bradford will go and check the
track out ASAP to get a idea of how feasible it would be to
hold Supermoto races at the venue.
In the prelim, it looks good, just don't break out the party
hats till the reports in.
If this happens, look for a race date on this web site.
Here's hoping we can soon be running regular SuperMoto events
real soon.
It's great to note that Tim Gibbs is right behind SuperMoto
and is very keen to see it go ahead. As we well know, Tim is
a man that can really make things happen and we are very gratefull
to have Tim supporting SuperMoto. Thanks a lot Tim. Lets make
sure we back him up all the way and get this scene happening.
SuperMoto is HUGE in Europe. It's the fastest growing Spectator
Motor sport around. With the right support we could get this
on TV Sport in NZ. Not many cameras are needed to cover a SuperMoto
event, so we have a better chance than Motocross or road Racing
to get our sport on the box, once that happens sponsors will
get on board, Joe and Josephine bikers will start to buy SuperMotard
bikes from the dealers to whizz around on, custom tracks will
start to appear and we will be in SuperMoto heaven!
