Expat Kiwi Greg Atkins recently attended the
FIM function for all of 2004's world motorcycle champions.
WE caught him rubbing shoulders with some of the very best.

Here's Greg with some road racer, who's known in the past
to practice his craft on a road tyred CR500 Honda. Will Valantino
be using an old YZ490 from now on?
Next year promises to be a busy one for the
former Tokoroa man. Youthstream the company that runs the
World Supermoto and Snowcross Championships will next year
also be asking Atkins to help out with some Europeian motocross.
Atkins will mainly be involved with the Supermoto and Motocross
G.Ps (World championship) as he will be one of the key people
on the field to help co-ordinate things.
The setup of tracks, which was what he has looked
after for the last 2 years, will only be about 30% of his
work. Supermotard.co.nz understands that Atkins is only back
in Belgium (his adopted home) for 3 weeks between now and
March as the rest of the time he's travelling, doing inspections
for the up coming season. Atkins hopes to return to NZ for
a bit of a break at the end of next season.
