Supermoto is go.
Taupo's Nigel Bevan has been working with the
directors of the Taupo Circuit and Motorsport New Zealand
for some weeks and he's cracked it!
Bevan has got the OK from Motorsport NZ and
in the upcoming weeks will be working with the circuit owners
to build a permanant Supermoto track at the Centennial circuit.
Starting in March, Bevan plans to run a series
over the new course which will include jumps and hopes to
have alternative track options for his series.
New Zealand Motarders (or should that be Supermotoers?)
have been eagerly waiting somewhere to strut their stuff.
Up until now the only true Supermoto's have
been the Bike Mart events which have attracted riders
from all area's of motorcycle sport. Motarders will now have
somewhere to refine there craft after having made do with
street / road race / and bucket events.

Who will come out of the
woodwork for the upcoming Supermoto series?
