Taumarunui's Russell Josiah not only owns the
local Bike Torque motorcycle shop, last weekend he owned the
local kart track as well. Local boy Josiah managed 5 from
5 in the motard support races for the annual Taumarunui Bucket
Meeting.
All eight lap races were hotly contested with
a number of 'clashes' occuring amougst pretty much the whole
field. Yamaha mounted Josiah (YZ450F) had rubber marks on
his boots from fellow competitors but was more than happy
with his results for the day. Others mixing it up included
Brent Neilson (KTM540), Darren Murphy (YZ450F), Ian Atkins
(YZ450F), and John Faithful (Husaberg).
