American Brad Lackey rode at a recent Vintage
Mr Motocross series round near Taupo. The 1982 world open
class champion said he had a great time fishing and seeing
the sights and was looking forward to the racing.
Lackey commented at the riders briefing that
he enjoyed the Vintage racing scene, riding pre 75 machines
back in his native America. The former Kawasaki 'works' racer
went on to say "I don't know what the Supermoto scene
is like here in New Zealand but I encourage you all to give
it go, it really is a huge amount of fun".
Bike Mart has it's NZ's 5th Supermoto at the
Centennial Park circuit on 18 April with an all new series
kicking off after that in May. So take on board what the old
man of motocross has said and have a go!
