Scott Shannon's Honda XR650
Specs
2001 Honda XR650R, with RGV250 rims. RGV
Front disc, with new centre machined to get the thing running
between the brake pads - most important! Adapter bracket fitted
so that the original caliper can be used. Thanks Kev at Turn
One.

Rear disc is a modified Yamaha RD400 rear
disc with a new centre machined to provide the necessary offset,
again the get the disc to run between the brake pads - not
so important 'cause the beast has a ton of engine braking.
Best 2 dozen job ever. Thanks to Ken Fraser - local clever
engineer type dude!

Dunlop GRP70 tyres - still experimenting
with other combos to real Supermotarding e.g. the dirty bits!
Pro circuit pipe originally off a Suzuki
DR350, but modified to fit by Damon Gruesomeweld at Cycleworks.
(I'm beginning to wonder if Scott does any of the work on
his bike - Ed)
Carb is rejetted to suit pipe.
The backfire screen has been removed from
behind the air filter. Twin filters fitted.
Currently running 14 or 15 tooth front sprocket
and a 39 toother at the rear.
Red Line oil and Water Wetter used to look
after my baby - Good Stuff.
Things to do.
Just ordered some of those goddam sexy Talon
wheels and horny big brake combo - mmmmmm.
The RGV wheels are now for sale.
Must hack the side of the airbox cover to
help the ol' girl breathe.
Gonna dick around with the suspension when
I know what works best.
Lose about 30 kilos so I will be able to
keep Malcolm in sight on that goddam fast bastard Husaberg.
